The Monetarium perspective

We read history in the marks it leaves behind.

A note creased by a journey. A coin softened by generations of hands. A specimen preserved before it ever entered circulation. Every object carries evidence—and every collection is a way of choosing what should be remembered.

Monetarium brings market knowledge, careful research and a collector’s eye to rare banknotes and coins. We help people understand what they hold, decide what comes next, and place significant material in the hands of those who will value it.

Value begins with understanding.

The auction room

A stage for remarkable objects.

Research creates context. Presentation creates attention. Competition discovers the market.

A Singapore story

Three decades, still looking closer.

  1. 1992

    Monetarium is founded.

From Singapore, the company begins building a specialist practice around rare banknotes, coins and collector knowledge.

  2. 2016

    A landmark SG50 result.

An SG50 commemorative set achieves S$100,000 at auction on 22 October—an exceptional chapter in Singapore numismatics.

  3. Today

    The collecting world comes together.

Auctions, specialist services and MSIF connect an established regional legacy with a new generation of collectors.

The collector’s eye

Look once for the object.
Again for the evidence.

Condition is only the beginning. Strike, paper, signatures, serials, provenance, rarity and the character of an individual piece all shape the story—and the market.
